Privacy Policy

Pawpresso is an iOS app that surfaces photos of your pet from your photo library and delivers them to you as surprise notifications, on a schedule you choose. This policy explains what information Pawpresso handles, what it never touches, and your choices.

Your photos never leave your phone. Never uploaded. Never shared. Just yours.

Your photos stay on your device

Pawpresso uses Apple's PhotoKit framework to find and display photos from your photo library. All photo selection, processing, and notification preparation happens entirely on your device.

• Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's.
• Your photos are never analyzed by any cloud service.
• Your photos are never shared with us or any third party.
• We cannot see your photos. We have no server that receives them.

You control photo access at all times through iOS Settings → Pawpresso → Photos. You can grant full access, limit access to selected photos, or revoke access entirely. Pawpresso works with limited access if you select the photos or albums you'd like it to use.

Information we do collect

Account information

Pawpresso uses Sign in with Apple as its only sign-in method — we never see or store a password. We use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to manage sign-in. This includes your Apple-provided identifier, and your name and email only if you choose to share them (Apple's Hide My Email is fully supported).

We use this only to maintain your account and settings. We never sell it, and we never use it for advertising.

Usage analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how Pawpresso is used so we can improve it. This includes things like which screens are visited, whether notifications are opened, general device information (model, iOS version), and approximate region derived from your device settings. Analytics data does not include your photos or their contents.

Notification preferences

Your pet's name, your chosen notification schedule, and app preferences are stored on your device and associated with your account so the app works the way you set it up. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device — there is no server deciding when to surprise you.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show ads or share data with advertisers.
• We do not upload, store, or view your photos.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Data retention and deletion

Account information and analytics are retained while your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, email us at hello@pawpresso.com and we will process your request. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data, including photo access, preferences, and scheduled notifications.

Children

Pawpresso is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app or on this page.
